Neuroimaging of developmental disorders

Dear Colleagues,

Ivica KostovicWe are pleased to welcome you to the Symposium and Workshop on "Neuroimaging of developmental disorders" in Dubrovnik. This Symposium with four workshops is a meeting place for neuroradiologists, pediatric neurologists, neonatologists, radiologists, psychiatrists, physicists and developmental neuroscientists, and will have a great impact in related health and research areas.

Neurodevelopmental disorders are major cause of disability in developing countries as well as in countries with advanced health systems. Neuroimaging is a major frontier in translational and clinical neuroscience with crucial impact on early diagnosis and successful treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders during pregnancy, perinatal period, childhood and adolescents.

We hope to attract your interest in neuroimaging of normal development, including fetal and neonatal imaging; dynamic mapping during childhood and adulthood; neuroimaging of developmental disorders and malformations; neuroimaging in metabolic disorders; genetic disorders: neurogenomics and neuroimaging; functional and structural neuroimaging in child psychiatry, neuroimaging of autism, perinatal lesions and plasticity; neuroimaging of language disturbances, and recent advances in methods of assessment (MRi, fMRi, DTi, Tractography, MR Spectroscopy PET).

In addition, four Workshops will cover most of the methodological approaches in the field of neuroimaging with great practical impact for diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Ivica Kostoviæ
