Welcome letterfrom Kazuhide Higuchi, M.D. PhD
Dear colleagues and friends,
Welcome to the International Conference of Gastrointestinal Research!
I am a member of this international meeting, and was the secretary general in the last 13th ICUR which was held in Osaka in 2006. We were very glad to see many participants and would like to express our appreciation to all participants.
This meeting is founded for the purpose of sharing our knowledge achievement in research on pathophysiology and treatment of gastrointestinal disease. Recently, there are many topics in Gastroenterology. Especially, since capsule endoscopy and balloon attached enteroscopy have been available, we are interested in various kinds of small bowel diseases. We would like to discuss about these topics eagerly.
Dubronik is a beautiful resort in Croatia where you can enjoy elegant seaside scenery and fresh air of early autumn. I hope that Professor Sikiric and colleagues are planning to have fruitful academic sessions, including symposia, special lecture, and entertainment programs at this meeting.
We promise you an exciting meeting and are looking forward to having the opportunity of welcoming you in Croatia.
Yours sincerely
Kazuhide Higuchi, M.D. PhD
Professor, 2nd Internal Medicine of Osaka Medical College, Takatsuki, Japan
